Barrington Zoom Whitening
Do you look in the mirror and see yellowed, stained teeth? Food and drinks such as wine, coffee, and other dark liquids can cause teeth staining… and if you smoke or use tobacco products, your teeth will yellow. Discolored teeth can result in confidence and self-esteem issues and often make you look older. Whitening not only removes accumulated stains, it will whiten your teeth even beyond your natural color if that is the result you desire.
Not all teeth whitening treatments are the same, and when it comes to a whiter, brighter smile, your best option is a dentist who has access to the best and brightest, professional whitening products.
Boost vs. Zoom whitening
Zoom whitening utilizes a high concentration of product, along with light or heat to give instant, bright-white results. Dr. Bonk prefers not use a light for in-office teeth whitening and instead, use Boost whitening, which is a unique formula that allows him and his staff to whiten your teeth without light or heat. With Boost, there is no tissue trauma or burns to the teeth or gums, and the system creates better and longer-lasting results. The light process used with Zoom increases sensitivity, dries the teeth out and gives an artificial sense of whiteness immediately following the procedure that quickly fades by the next morning.
Give your teeth a Boost
Boost contains fluoride and potassium nitrate. These two ingredients decrease sensitivity, strengthen your enamel, and create an increased level of cavity prevention that actually helps to improve your overall oral health.
Boost utilizes a syringe-to-syringe mixing system that ensures freshness and delivers an evenly mixed product. Its distinct red color makes it easy to place on the teeth and remove. The procedure is safe and effective, offering a whiter, more brilliant smile in just one appointment. We normally use three 20-minute appointments to apply the Boost treatment to your smile, followed by the application of a gingival liquid barrier.
As with all bleaching techniques, there will be some color relapse over time. In addition, you teeth can take on new stains depending on the foods and drinks you consume. Periodic touch-ups are recommended – whether in the office or by whitening at home using custom trays.
